Disc springs calculation: notes
This sheet presents the classical calculation of disc springs according to DIN 2092.
All the load values are valid only at room temperature (20°C). Consult the supplier for higher temperatures.
Disc springs with flattened contact surfaces are calculated based onto an equivalent thickness t.
A variety of materials may be chosen from, however note that the values for materials other than Carbon steel are informative only: please consult the supplier for details on guaranteed performance.
Please consider that the actual behaviour of disc springs somewhat deviates from theoretical calculation, especially at high loads and also due to friction.
Hint
If you choose a standard and a load Fmax, the spring with the rated load at the deflection 0.75ho closest to Fmax will be automatically shown in the sheet.
