This sheet allows the calculation of the inertial properties of a choice of standard profiles.
The calculations are based onto the theoretical geometry, as defined by the relevant standards; some of the
dimensions (of minor importance) may be guessed, when they do not appear in the standard.
The Green's theorem is used for the main properties (area, moments of inertia), so the calculated properties are
geometrically exact (except for ellipses), and they are not necessarily the same that can be found in the standards.
For plastic and shear properties, approximate procedures are used (iterative, numerical integration), still based
onto the Green's theorem.
